Improv Show

The Wayzata High School Drama Club’s Improv Troupe meets throughout the school year to practice their improvisation skills, so they can show them off in this annual show.  You never quite know what to expect seeing this talented group perform, but it’s always impressive.  763.745.6621.

The Del Counts

Minnesota Music Hall of Fame inductees The Del Counts, features frontman Charlie Schoen, known as “the human jukebox”, bassist Bobby Jones, who has been a part of the local music scene since 1966, and James “Owl” Walsh, the only musician in Minn. history to win six individual Minnesota Music Hall of Fame awards.  The Del Counts play just about any rock and roll song from the 50’s, 60’s, or early 70’s. Winter Cabaret–Hot Music for a Cold Day

The Chancel Choir section leaders at Wayzata Community Church have collaborated to put together this incredibly diverse and exciting concert set, featuring everything from music by Schubert and Mendelssohn to opera from Mozart and Verdi to the cabaret music of Weill, Gershwin and Porter–all performed in a vibrant cabaret setting.   952.473.8877.

One Act Play Competition

Every year the Minnesota State High School league sponsors a one-act play competition.  Theater students per school from all over the state will prepare and perform a 35 minute one-act play for a group of official judges, who will award ‘starred performances’ to plays deemed exceptional.  Wayzata High School’s theater department will be participating this year; judges will be at both performances. 7:30 pm. 763.745.6600.

Lunch Time Organ Recital

St. Barnabas Lutheran Church invites an accomplished organist from the Twin Cities metro area to perform a short concert on the second Thursday of every month.  This month, Dr. Jungjoo Park will perform on their 19-rank, two-manual Nordlie pipe organ.  Bring a bag lunch. 763.553.1239.
