Minnesota Music Hall of Fame inductees The Del Counts, features frontman Charlie Schoen, known as “the human jukebox”, bassist Bobby Jones, who has been a part of the local music scene since 1966, and James “Owl” Walsh, the only musician in Minn. history to win six individual Minnesota Music Hall of Fame awards. The Del Counts play just about any rock and roll song from the 50’s, 60’s, or early 70’s. Don’t miss the special lesson the Del Counts will be giving at 7:30. $12. The Chancel Choir section leaders at Wayzata Community Church have collaborated to put together this incredibly diverse and exciting concert set, featuring everything from music by Schubert and Mendelssohn to opera from Mozart and Verdi to the cabaret music of Weill, Gershwin and Porter–all performed in a vibrant cabaret setting. 952.473.8877.
Every year the Minnesota State High School league sponsors a one-act play competition. Theater students per school from all over the state will prepare and perform a 35 minute one-act play for a group of official judges, who will award ‘starred performances’ to plays deemed exceptional.
