Back by popular demand, The Hip Hop Nutcracker is a fiery combination of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet and modern hip hop choreography. The performance features dancers who have performed at venues all over the world, hip hop icon Kurtis Blow as guest emcee, an on-stage DJ and an electric violinist, all to bring the traditional Nutcracker story to life in an exciting new way. Don’t miss the dance party before the show and during intermission.

The International Reggae All-Stars strive to live up to Bob Marley’s example, and they also sing songs from the last few decades of reggae—including selections from Tony Rebel, Beres Hammond and Wayne Wonder. Most All-Stars members hail from Kingston, Jamaica, and others are from Ghana, Venezuela and Trinidad. Ages 16 and up.

Celebrate the nativity story through Gian Carlo Menotti’s one act opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors. Do not miss this internationally renowned work, with live professional eighteen-piece orchestra, that remains one of the most frequently performed modern operas. The opera is performed in English and performances will include a special appearance of the North Star Boys’ Choir.
