UnmaskED Gala

Don a mask and raise awareness for eating
disorders by joining the Emily Program’s second annual unmaskED Gala.
This masquerade (mask encouraged but not required) is emceed by Colleen
Lindstrom of myTalk 107.1 and will benefit the foundation’s mission to “unmask”
the secrecy, stigma and shame associated with eating disorders. The night

Emily Program & Foundation to host Unmasked Gala

This second annual event is dedicated to unmasking the secrecy, stigma and shame associated with eating disorders.

The event will benefit the Emily Program & Foundation and its mission to save lives, change minds and eliminate eating disorders. Through seminars, forums and outreach, the Foundation increases awareness for eating disorders, obesity, and body image issues among adults and young people. In addition, it funds citizen lobbying and public policymaking efforts, as well as advocates for greater access to care, research and improved prevention methods.

Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day also marks the jumpstart to the annual Sleep Out campaign at Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners. All are encouraged to make donations to the Sleep Out that day, either online or in person. There’s even prize money available for the nonprofits that raise the most online donations. Coupled with a $200,000-plus matching grant fund, IOCP members anticipate the largest single fundraising day ever (which requires beating last year’s $609,912).

Helping Those In Need at the Sunshine Factory

The public is invited to enjoy a meal and help a local family in need. The Sunshine Factory Bar & Grill in Plymouth is hosting a benefit on Monday, October 13th in support of the son of Bob Nash, owner of The Barbers Inn in Wayzata.  Owner Randy Rosengren will donate 50% of every dollar spent at the restaurant that day.

5th Annual STOMP for Mental Health

Relate’s annual STOMP for Mental Health fundraising/awareness event is scheduled for September 27 at the Minnetonka Community Center. 

New for this year, the event will feature a Chili Cook-off!  There will be five restaurants competing for a “People’s Choice Award” and a “Professional’s Choice Award”.  The restaurants are Ike’s, Famous Dave’s, Gold Nugget, Glen Lake Café and Cowboy Jack’s.

Wayzata Public Schools hosts its second golf fundraiser this fall at Wayzata Country Club.
