Yoga In the Yard at Trillium Woods

Trillium Woods is hosting a free “Yoga In the Yard” class on Wednesday, September 12, at 10:30 a.m. in the pool courtyard for all members of the community to join. 

Yoga on its own is a life changing practice, but when combined with nature, it can be truly transformational. When practicing yoga in nature, you get to experience a sense of calm and a deep connection with nature. To be in nature is to be immersed in the greatest source of Prana, or life-force energy that exists. Join us for an hour of feelings of inner peace and connectivity to the earth.

Healthy Plymouth's Amazing Race

Join Healthy Plymouth on Saturday, September 22, 2018 for the second annual Amazing Race. Race around North Plymouth following clues and competing in fun challenges all to benefit Healthy Plymouth Youth engagement initiatives, creating engaging out of school activities for youth as a substance abuse prevention strategy. Teams of 4 ages 10+ compete for the $400 cash prize. The event begins at Cordage Park in North Plymouth. Race time is 1PM- 4PM followed by a race afterparty with dinner provided by Mamma Mia's, prizes music and more.

Yoga in the Yard at Trillium Woods

With summer on the horizon, Minnesotans are finally able to spend more time outside after what felt like one of the longest winters in years. To celebrate, Trillium Woods, the premier life plan community in Plymouth, will host a free outdoor “Yoga in the Yard” class for seniors on Thursday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. on its lush back lawn near the Grand Terrace. 

Tour de Vail 2018

Vail Place, a non-profit organization providing comprehensive services, support and resources for those with mental illnesses, is hosting its 17th annual Tour de Vail – Roll & Stroll for Mental Health on Saturday, July 14, 2018.  Participants may walk, run, bike, skate or blade around Crystal Lake in Robbinsdale to gain donations, inspire hope and raise awareness.

Red Bull Crashed Ice 2017

For the past five years, St. Paul has hosted the Red Bull Crashed Ice event right outside the beautiful Cathedral of St. Paul. As the third event in the tour, Crashed Ice comes back to Minnesota, and is projected to draw crowds of up to 100,000. Minnesota native Cameron Naasz will be back to defend his title in this fierce competition.

Laughter Yoga

Looking for a more exciting way to do yoga? Check out laughter yoga, a monthly yoga meet that focuses on accessible yoga while reducing stress with happiness and laughter. This is not your typical yoga, and you’re sure to leave feeling lighter. Wear light, loose clothing and be ready to laugh! Turkey Day 5K

Work up an appetite before your Thanksgiving feast at the Turkey Day 5K in downtown Minneapolis. This fun family event is for everyone, whether you’re sprinting, running, walking or strolling with your kids. Participants receive a long-sleeve running T-shirt, food and hot beverages before the race. Parking is available at various downtown locations and all street parking meters are free for the holiday.
