DESCRIPTION:The City of Plymouth will hold Interactive Story Time in Spanish 10-10:45 a.m. February 23 inside the Plymouth Community Center’s Black Box Theater. \nGeared toward preschool- and elementary-age children\, the free event aims to celebrate cultural learning through storytelling\, dancing and crafts. \nThe featured story\, Daniela y Mateo Viajan a Argentina\, will be shared by the author\, Pamela Mercado Michelli\, followed by dancing to Bomba and Plena style music. Children will also have the opportunity to make their own maracas. \nHandouts for activities and stories will be available in Spanish and English. While the event is free and open to the public\, preregistration is required.

DESCRIPTION:Dialed Down Disco is a sensory-friendly event for people of all abilities. Join the fun from 6–8 p.m. on October 3. at the Plymouth Community Center. Commonly referred to as a “silent disco\,” participants wear wireless headphones to dance and sing along to music played through headphones by a DJ. Attendees will have individual control over the volume of their headphones and can select their favorite music from three different channels. To promote a positive sensory experience\, no overhead music will be played through a speaker system\, and the dance floor will not have strobe lights or a disco ball. Sensory bins\, sunglasses and quiet break areas will also be available.
