SUMMARY:Fabulous Armadillos featuring Tim Haussner Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this free concert at the Hilde Performance Center. \nThe Fabulous Armadillos came out of their shell in 2006 and have since established a large and loyal following in Minnesota and beyond with their spot on recreations of songs from many genres of music from Country to Motown to Heavy Metal to 70’s Soft Rock and play them just like you remember. Close your eyes and you are listening to all those vinyl records again or your AM/FM radio. The idea of the Fabulous Armadillos started with a diverse group of musicians who came together to perform “themed” concerts at the Pioneer Place On Fifth Theater in St. Cloud\, MN. Themes like “One Hit Wonders”\, “Woodstock”\, “Motown”\, “Singer/Songwriters”\, “Stadium Rock” and more. They have now played 100’s of themes at that theater as well as many regional venues in the Midwest and even in Mexico. \nAttendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs\, as well as cash/credit for beverages and food truck purchases. \nVisit plymouthmn.gov/specialevents for frequently asked questions for this event. \nFood trucks scheduled: \n\nCafé Cairo\nKenny’s Meatball Wagon\nPizza Karma\nNautical Bowls\nTacos Los Carnales\n\nThe Plymouth Civic League will be selling beer (provided by Luce Line Brewing)\, wine\, and hard seltzers.

SUMMARY:Waytonka Club Spring Outdoor Marketplace
DESCRIPTION:Come out in support of the Waytonka Club for our annual Spring Marketplace. This event is composed of local vendors and artisans\, selling their wares and this year we will have a coffee truck and possibly a food truck. Proceeds will be given away to support people in the local communities. \nWe are a local women’s club composed of about 20 members from the Wayzata\, Plymouth\, Minnetonka areas. The club started back in 1937 by a group of nurses who wanted to give back to the community. Our focus is helping local families in need and we provide some small scholarships to local high school students from Wayzata High School and Minnetonka High School. The criteria for the scholarships is financial need \, significant volunteer work and students entering the medical field. Our estimate is that over the years we have provided about $150\,000 in scholarship money.
