Dialed Down Disco is a sensory-friendly event for people of all abilities. Join the fun from 6–8 p.m. on October 3. at the Plymouth Community Center. Commonly referred to as a “silent disco,” participants wear wireless headphones to dance and sing along to music played through headphones by a DJ. Attendees will have individual control over the volume of their headphones and can select their favorite music from three different channels. To promote a positive sensory experience, no overhead music will be played through a speaker system, and the dance floor will not have strobe lights or a disco ball. Sensory bins, sunglasses and quiet break areas will also be available.
