Cross Community Player’s annual concert returns in early January. Our theme this year celebrates the Golden Era of American music that began in the nightclubs of 1920s Harlem and became cultural sensations in the 1930s with the advent of the Hollywood musical. This concert features solos, small groups and full ensemble performances, showcasing the timeless work of composers like George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Fats Waller. Their music not only defined a generation—it laid the foundation for American popular culture that still resonates today.
