Sand Volleyball in Plymouth

Sand volleyball play is abundant around Plymouth this time of year; check out the New Hope co-ed rec league or any one of the local options below.

Grab a water bottle and sunscreen, and put on your game face—it’s sand volleyball season. We have four fun options to get you jumping.

1) Adult Power League in Plymouth

A men’s or women’s 2s power league held at Plymouth Creek Athletic Club (co-ed teams can participate in the men’s 2s events) hosts five league dates, running from June 8 to August 10 on Sundays. Each event accepts four to 10 teams. $40 per date for each team. 3131 Campus Drive

2) Juniors Volleyball League

Leagues are available for youth ages 11–14 and 15–18. Teams are allowed two players, and matches will be held at Plymouth Creek Athletic Club, as well as other locations in the Twin Cities area. Players choose which dates they wish to sign up for. $38–$40 per team, per league date. 3131 Campus Drive

3) Sand Volleyball Kids camp at Parkers Lake

Offering an opportunity for younger players to improve their game, summer sand outdoor volleyball camps are available for ages 7–14 at Parkers Lake Park. Camp for ages 7–9 and 10–11 will take place 9–11 a.m. July 7–10, and camp for the 12- to 14-year-olds will be held June 16–19. 4) New Hope Co-rec Sand Volleyball League

This summer, New Hope is offering an un-officiated co-rec volleyball league, with matches to be played at the lighted sand court at Civic Center Park. The events will be held on Tuesdays from June 17 to August 12. Fee is $110 per team, plus $12 for each nonresident player. 4310 Zealand Ave. N.; 763.531.5151; ci.new-hope.mn.us
