Trillium Woods, a resort-style senior living community opening this summer, is hosting its annual shredding event to celebrate Earth Day. In a world full of screens and noise, it can be nice to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. This annual event encourages the community to come together and start conversations around a single book. This year’s pick is Vacationland by Minnesota author Sarah Stonich. The kickoff event will feature artist Harry Pulver, Jr., alongside talented comedian and Wayzata High School senior Andrew Stern. Free. 2 p.m. Plymouth Library, 15700 36th Ave.

This club offers local teens the opportunity to hang out with friends who share the same interest in anime, a Japanese form of animation.
