Plymouth Reads Kickoff Event

In a world full of screens and noise, it can be nice to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. This annual event encourages the community to come together and start conversations around a single book. This year’s pick is Vacationland by Minnesota author Sarah Stonich. The kickoff event will feature artist Harry Pulver, Jr., alongside talented comedian and Wayzata High School senior Andrew Stern. Free. 2 p.m. Plymouth Library, 15700 36th Ave.

Teen Anime Club

This club offers local teens the opportunity to hang out with friends who share the same interest in anime, a Japanese form of animation. Once a month, the group gathers at the library to watch anime, discuss manga, and share the artwork they’ve created. Free. 4:30–6 p.m. Plymouth Library, 15700 36th Ave. N; 612.543.5825; hclib.org

The 2015 Best of Plymouth Event

Voting has come and gone for the 2015 Best of Plymouth, and we received a record number of ballots from dedicated readers of Plymouth Magazine. Hundreds of businesses were nominated for the awards, but only the top three in each category will continue on to the Best of Plymouth event, where this year's winners will be announced!
