Orienteering Skills Clinic

There’s something  satisfying about navigating your way through unfamiliar territory using only your handy map and compass. Three Rivers Parks and the Minnesota Orienteering club co-sponsor this special one-day class for beginners through advanced participants. Ice Skating

The ice outside is (hopefully) getting a little thin, but the Plymouth Ice Center’s rinks are as pristine as ever. FARE Walk for Food Allergy, Minneapolis

The Fare Walk for Food Allergy brings together thousands of people seeking a safer world for the 15 million Americans with food allergies. The walk is a family-friendly event that will raise funds for food allergy research, education, advocasy and awareness. This special day in Minneapolis will include fun activities for the entire family. Full Moon Snowshoe

Winter sights are even more beautiful in the light of a full moon, and a stroll through the park in the moonlight sounds like a very romantic way to be with your valentine.   Three Rivers Parks is seizing the opportunity of having a full moon on Valentine’s Day night to host this romantic snowshoeing experience in French Park. 30th Annual Chilly Open

Do you miss golfing during the winter? You’re not alone. The Wayzata Chamber of Commerce has been organizing the largest golf tournament held on a frozen lake right on Wayzata Bay since 1984. Every year, a team of dedicated volunteers carve two 9-hole golf courses into the icy lake, and hundreds of golfers compete and have fun. This year’s theme is “Olympics,” so come dressed to win gold. Expect golf, a souvenir, all-you-can-eat chili, live music, prizes, giveaways and much more. Spectators are welcome, so bring the whole family.  952.473.9595.
